Dogtown Pet Daycare – Terms & Conditions

At Dogtown, our top priority is the safety, wellbeing, and happiness of the dogs in our care. Please review the following terms, which apply to all daycare clients.


1. Client Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate, complete information about your dog’s health, behaviour, and temperament.
  • Notify us of any behavioural issues (e.g. food/toy aggression, excessive barking, house training issues, escape behaviour) or any changes.
  • By registering, you confirm agreement to these Terms & Conditions and consent to us relying on the information provided.

2. Communication & Media

  • We may contact you via phone, SMS, email, or post with updates, offers, and service notices.
  • We may photograph or video your dog for promotional use on our website or social media.
  • Please let us know if you do not want to receive communications or have your dog’s images used.

3. Health & Vaccination Requirements

  • All dogs must:
    • Be microchipped
    • Have up-to-date vaccinations
    • Be regularly wormed and treated for fleas
  • You must sign consent for us to contact your vet to confirm vaccinations and medical history.

4. Suitability & Behaviour

  • Dogs must be well-socialised and enjoy the company of dogs and people.
  • 5-day trial period applies to new dogs.
  • We operate a three-strike policy for behaviour concerns. Dogs showing aggression or posing a risk may be refused future attendance.
  • Male dogs over 9 months must be neutered.
  • Female dogs in season cannot attend for 2–3 weeks.
  • Puppies are welcome from 12 weeks old.

5. Walks & Activities

  • Dogs are walked both on- and off-lead in parks, rivers, beaches, and woodland.
  • You must sign consent for:
    • Off-lead walks
    • Group socialisation
  • Feedback is welcomed to help us meet your dog’s activity needs.

6. Home Collection Access

  • If we collect/drop off your dog, you must provide:
    • Access to your property (keys/alarm codes)
    • Consent for unaccompanied access by Dogtown staff
  • Typical collection: 08:00–09:30 - Drop-off: 16:30–18:00

7. Illness or Injury

  • If your dog becomes ill or shows signs of infection:
    • You will be contacted to collect your dog.
    • If unavailable, we will take your dog to your preferred vet or our emergency vet (whichever is closest).
  • In non-emergency cases, we will contact you first.
  • In urgent cases, we will attend our registered emergency vet immediately.
  • Unless Dogtown is clearly liable, all veterinary costs are at the owner's expense.

8. Invoicing & Payment

  • Daycare fees are added to your account and invoiced monthly by email.
  • Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date.
  • Late payments may result in suspension of daycare services.

9. Cancellations & Holidays

  • Cancellations or changes with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of your standard fee.
  • For absences longer than 2 weeks (e.g. holidays), we require 2 weeks’ notice.
  • Absences beyond 2 weeks will be charged at 50% of your usual weekly daycare rate, recorded as “Holiday Fee” on your invoice.

Example:
If your dog normally attends 4 days/week and is away for 6 weeks, you will be charged for weeks 3–6 at 50% (i.e., 2 days/week).
